I followed the recipe, but added a teaspoon of crushed garlic when adding onions/peppers to the sausage. I served it with bow tie pasta, drizzled Trader Joes Three Cheese pasta sauce over everything - delicious! I also had garlic toast. Will definitely make again and again.

Mmmm...daBomb! I made it with red & yellow peppers, an onion & garlic, then I added a can of Hunt's diced tomatoes with Italian herbs, an extra tablespoon of Italian herb seasoning, the Parmesan cheese and crushed red peppers. I served over 4Cheese mashed potatoes! Mmmm...

This is my first review on All Recipes as it was that good! Was hungry for smoked sausage and found this recipe. I used the Hillshire Farm's All Natural smoked sausage with no nitrates, artificial flavoring or msg and made of 100% pork. Dinner in less than 10 minutes! Made according to recipe and was absolutely awesome!

Too easy, too fast, too good! definitely add the garlic; I served it over cheese ravioli in marinara sauce and served with garlic bread. Will make again and often.

Hey this is really pretty good. I added sliced fresh garlic. I would use a little less oil.
07/04/2016
I used garlic powder and Italian seasoning but no oregano. I also added a sliced small zucchini and some cubed new potatoes. Served over rice. It was pretty good but really bland. The smoked sausage added enough flavor to make it edible. I don't think I will make it again.

This has become a staple in my house. We have it at least every other week if not every week. The only thing I have added is chunk pineapple and I usually do one of each color pepper. The pineapple puts a little sweet against the spicy and makes it wonderful. love this!

I followed recipe, but used smoked linguica instead. Added salt, pepper and garlic powder. Also threw in an onion and 1 can diced tomatoes. Served over cheese ravioli. Oh, Mama mia! Very delicious!

We like it as written (with garlic), but this is a great start for using up any leftovers in your fridge/freezer. Our additions have included leftover plain pasta/cheese tortellini homemade tomato soup, mozzarella cheese, and fresh herbs.

Super easy, super yummy! Only had one green pepper (which was fine) used a yellow onion, only a small amount of oil and oregano. Can easily adjust to your preferences! Served over brown rice and sauteed some spinach for a side bc I needed to use it. Great quick, inexpensive, and easily adjustable family dinner!! thanks!

I made this for brunch but cooked the bell peppers separate from my italian sausages. I had compliments how the pepper dish went so well with the sausages. I did not add the onions due to allergies and did add home grown oregano. Also added salt, pepper, and white pepper.

I hade a red onion so used that and tried Schneiders mild Italian chicken smoked sausage. It turned out really good. We'll make this again.
